Chris Scott of Four Villages Inn, Kumasi, writes:
Tourism in Ghana ranks third in foreign exchange earnings; and yet it is becoming increasingly more difficult for travellers to Ghana to acquire tourist visas. More and more, there are reports of hassles and delays at Ghanaian embassies and consulates resulting in trip cancellations and loss of revenue to the tourism sector and the nation at large.
In response, I have initiated a grassroots campaign advocating the scrapping of short term tourist visas for stays up to thirty days. You are encouraged to join the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/365324863572287/ and share your experiences or opinions.
Should you support the initiative, you are welcome to sign the Change.org petition of the same name SCRAP SHORT TERM TOURIST VISAS TO GHANA
