Wanted to comment about the Green Turtle Lodge. Was there 4 years ago and loved it. Heaven on earth. Went last month and it was a completely different story. The staff was uncaring – not that they were mean – but it was as if it did not matter to them if there were guests or not. They didn’t arrive in the morning until much later than breakfast was supposed to start – causing us to miss it on our last day since we had to leave. The portions of food were smaller, and it did not taste as good as before, either. The gift shop had paltry offerings. There was simply no energy to the place – it was as if the air had been let out of the balloon. And the comment about the huts being too hot elsewhere on this site were completely right – very, very uncomfortable sleeping experience given how pleasant it was outside. The ride down the painful road is not worth it anymore.
