Kristo Buase Monastery

We have had several European visitors recently who have come after seeing the mention of Kristo Buase Monastery in the latest edition of your Ghana book.  A Dutch couple showed me the entry today and I see it is mentioned as a place where only men can stay: in fact we can accommodate both men and women.  There are eight guest-rooms and the guests can join the monks for all meals.  The recommended donation is the Cedi equivalent of USD 15 a day, all inclusive.  A lot of European and American visitors use us as a staging point on journeys to the north of Ghana.

It is a Benedictine monastery jointly founded by three abbeys in Britain.  There is some more information on the Prinknash Abbey website, www.prinknashabbey.org

Thanks for including us in the guide
