Entry fees in Paga doubled to C4

Nakpanduri: government resthouse seems closed.  Sillim guesthouse C15 for a double.  Tel: 027 54 73 799.  Neighbour prepares food on request.

Yendi:  Yahaya Iddi guesthouse is closed.

Ntonso: great place to visit, you can stamp your own adinkra cloth. Great guides, worth a visit (day trip from Kumasi).

Hotel feedback

In Yendi, the Yahaya Iddi guesthouse has gone downhill. The rooms are not very clean, the restaurant is closed, there is no running water (although plenty provided in buckets) and the aircon was not working when we were there (Feb 2010). Luckily there is a pleasant new place to stay, Eyarro’s Lodge. It is closer to the town centre, signposted off the road towards Bimbilla. Clean self –contained rooms with TV, fridge and running water for half the price of Yayaha Iddi.

In Accra, the Riviera Beach Hotel is derelict and Akuma Cultural Village appears to have been bulldozed to make a car park!

In Ho, although it is still possible to get a room at Flave Lodge, it has been officially closed by the Ghana Tourist Board as unfit. Archid’s Pleasure Gardens now has some very decent, large new rooms, each with a small porch looking onto the garden.
