Ko-Sa Beach Resort

Posted: January 16, 2010 in Ampenyi

I recently spent most of a lazy vacation in the Ko-Sa Beach resort in Ampenyi. It is mentioned in your Ghana guide, but I think the situation has become a bit different. The former German owner has been followed up by two Dutch couples who are busy revitalizing the place. They are very friendly, helpful and hospitable and do their best to give one a nice time.  Currently the kitchen is too small for the restaurant and the overall lodging capacity, so that the menu is somewhat limited (which one starts to feel after a couple of days; most people stay shorter). But they are building a new seafront restaurant with a larger kitchen, due to be finished before June.  We stayed first in one of the clay huts, which I found quite basic. Later we moved to a hotel room, which was quite comfortable. Haven’t seen enough of Ghana to say anything reliable about the price level. Thanks for your guidebook – it made a difference! Sincerely, Malik De Kok
